The following flutes are arranged in order from the smallest size (highest pitch) to the largest size (lowest pitch). Optional lip plates (+$20) are available for the larger flutes for the keys of Eb through low Bb. The optional Tipple-Fajardo wedges (+$10 ea.) are offered for the key of E through low Bb. The above descriptions of the flutes as medium size and large size are arbitrary and are merely my attempt at separating the larger-bore flutes by relative sizes. Actually, both of these flute groups are made from the same size of pipe.
Flute Specifications
The pipe that I use to construct the larger flutes (F, E, Eb, D, C#/Db, C, B, Bb) is schedule 40, 3/4" PVC plumbing pipe, which has an ID (internal diameter) of .805" and a wall thickness of .125".
For the low D flute: The 6-hole low D flute is 23 1/2" long and weighs 6.2 oz. The 8-hole low D flute is 26 1/2" long and weighs 7.2 oz.

The distances between the finger holes for the above flutes are measured inline. All flutes are available with offset or inline finger holes (please specify). Unless you have large hands, I recommend offset finger holes for the larger of the above flutes.
For several years I have been offering flutes in both white and gray pvc, however, I have decided to no longer offer flutes in the gray pvc except for my special-edition low D flute (see photo page). The gray pvc is commercial-grade pvc, and it is considerably more expensive than the standard white pvc that is commonly used for household plumbing. However, although the gray pipe is premium pipe (very concentric with smooth bore and thicker walls), it is not as hard as the white pvc, which menas that the outside surface of the pipe will be more susceptible to scratching, so care is needed as with a silver flute, etc. To help prevent against scratching, a soft cloth bag is provided with all of my flutes. Even though the gray pipe has thicker walls than the standard white pipe, I am now offering the gray flute with a lip plate for those who want the greatest chimney depth and maximum blowing resistance. I have developed an accessory for my tunable flutes that significantly improves the second octave intonation. It is called the Tipple-Fajardo wedge, which is inserted in the bore of the flute against the stopper. For information about the wedge, please see the article on a separate page. The price of the wedge is $10.
For a year or so I have been offering flutes made from speckled-bore pvc. Unfortunately, I am now out of stock, so I can no longer offer flutes made from this material.
In the USA I ship the above flutes by USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation for $8. Multiple flutes can be shipped together for slightly more (please inquire). I like to ship international orders by insured airmail letter rate (small parcels for 3-piece flutes or small flutes). The shipping expense to Canada is $10 and to other international countries $16.
In the USA I accept payment by personal check, money order, or Paypal. For my online ebay auctions I am not allowed to collect a paypal fee. However, for off-auction, direct purchases, if you choose the Paypal option of payment, I do like to receive 3% of the total cost as a fee to partially offset my Paypal costs to the seller. For international orders I accept payment by international money order in US dollars, American Express, MoneyGram, or Paypal (add 4% to partially offset my paypal fee).
